Richard Lindner (* November 11, 1901 in Hamburg; † April 16, 1978 in New York) was an American painter of German origin. Lindner's work takes up the grotesque-cartoonish elements of the New Objectivity of the 1920s and combines them with the dazzlingly luminous color flatness of American advertising art.
