This is a beautiful art exhibition poster showing abstract red, grey and black shapes. It is from the 'Bellechasse Internationale' gallery.
Henri Bernard Goetz (September 29, 1909 - August 12, 1989) was a French American surrealist painter and engraver. He is known for his artwork, as well as for inventing the carborundum printmaking process. His work is represented in more than 100 galleries worldwide.
Boumeester was born in Batavia, then the capital of Dutch colonial Indonesia. Relocating to Europe as a young adult, Boumeester studied at École des Beaux Arts at the Hague from 1922 to 1924. In 1935, she moved to Paris and enrolled at Académie de la Grande Chaumière. It was there that Boumeester met and soon married the painter Henri Goetz.
The poster is in used condition. It has a tear (4cm) at the right border and shows signs of handling along the borders (knitters, light stains and small tears).
The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
