Equipo Crónica was a Spanish artists' collective active from 1964 to 1981, founded by Rafael Solbes and Manuel Valdés. They created politically engaged works using pop art and comic-like imagery to critique Franco's dictatorship and mass media. Their paintings often mixed Spanish art history references with contemporary symbols, making their style both ironic and socially critical.
