This is a beautiful art poster from Walter Niggli showing a painting of a well dressed woman sitting advertising an art exhibition at the Gewerbemuseum in Basel.
The poster is in a good condition with only some small cracks ans small signs of handling along the borders.
Walter Niggli was a Swiss fashion illustrator active from the 1940s to around 1990.
He worked for Hanro in Basel and produced elegant runway drawings—called "stand drawings"—directly at fashion shows and in-studio from live models, often using charcoal or felt-tip pen to capture dress cuts and fabric movement.
