This is a beautiful art exhibition poster showing a church and boats on a river from the district 'mantes la jolie'. It is from the 'bibliotheque georges duhamel' gallery.
Roger Forissier, born on 26 June 1924 in Feurs (Loire) and died in 2003 in Recloses, is a French painter and engraver. Roger Forissier, son of a father who was director of the steelworks, grew up in Lyon and spent his youth in the district of La Guillotière on the left bank of the Rhône. His parents had envisioned a brilliant career for him in Saint-Cyr, but Roger Forissier took drawing lessons once a week from the Lyon painter Pierre Combet-Descombes (1885-1966).
The poster is in used condition. It has rolling marks, folds all over the poster and light stains at the left border.
The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
