This is a beautiful art exhibition poster showing sculptures in 6 shafts. It is from the 'galerie nane stern' gallery.
Gérard Koch was born Günther Manfred Julius Koch in Kaiserslautern in 1926, the son of the Jewish grain merchant Eugen Koch and Amalie Eskles from Zweibrücken. He grew up in Zweibrücken. In 1938, he was able to flee from the Nazis to France on a Rothschild Kindertransport. There he was adopted by a French family. Koch trained as a cabinetmaker in Toulouse before emigrating to Israel in 1944. The artist finally moved to Paris in 1950, where he lived until his death in 2014.
The poster is in used condition. It has pinholes and shows signs of handling along the borders (knitters).
The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
