This is one of the original posters comissioned by Amnesty International for the Year of the prisoner of conscience in the year 1977 featuring a work by Francisco Toledo.

It is a print on heavy wove paper. The poster is in used condition with knitters across the surface, stains at the left border, 2 tears (1-2cm) and light yellowing.

Francisco Benjamin Lopez Toledo (b. July 17, 1940 in Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca; † September 5, 2019 in Oaxaca de Juárez) was a Mexican painter. In 2005 he was awarded the Right Livelihood Award. The jury's citation highlights Toledo's "commitment and his art to the protection, development and renewal of the architectural and cultural heritage, environment and community life of his native Oaxaca."
