Henry Matisse reprint vintage museum poster - 29.5"×45.3" (75×115cm)

CHF 75.00
This is reprint of an art poster for an exhibition of the legendary modern master Henri Matisse, held at the Musée Toulouse-Lautrec in Albi, France, from July to September 1961. The poster beautifully showcases his vibrant 1947 painting Nature morte aux grenades (Still Life with Pomegranates), featuring his signature bold red background with energetic zigzag patterns, a bright blue table, and a lush window view.

Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a French painter and one of the most important artists of modern art. He was a leading figure of Fauvism, a movement known for the use of bright, unrealistic colors and expressive forms. His art style focused on simplicity, harmony, and the emotional power of color, often depicting landscapes, portraits, and interiors with bold shapes and vibrant compositions.

The poster is in good condition with only minimal yellowing. The printing quality is mediocre. This is reflected in the price.

The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
